CommLedge at the ISC Cloud 2014 Conference
This year’s event, the fifth in the series, had a truly international scope, attracting over 100 participants from a number of European countries, Japan and the US. The conference offered sessions spanning a range of topics, including the latest HPC cloud trends and the successful deployment of cloud technology across industrial and research applications. Other highlights included an Amazon tutorial on using AWS for HPC clusters, a lively vendor panel, a series of talks on EU-backed cloud initiatives, and a discussion by software vendors on how they are moving their offerings into the cloud. In addition, issues related to licensing models, privacy and security were addressed in a number of sessions by vendors and participants alike.
